Three Honors from the University of Western Macedonia

2026-02-20

I am honored to have received three distinctions from the University of Western Macedonia, recognizing my contribution, creative work, and involvement in projects that shaped an important part of my academic journey.

For me, these awards represent more than individual achievements. They reflect the collaborations, mentorship, and collective effort behind every project, as well as the people who supported and trusted me throughout the process.

Hult Prize — Top 5 onCampus Programs in Europe

One of the distinctions recognized my contribution to Hult Prize UoWM, through which we had the opportunity to represent the University of Western Macedonia on an international level.

With the guidance, mentoring, and support of Professor Elpida Samara, our program was recognized among the Top 5 Hult Prize onCampus Programs in Europe for 2025.

Being part of this initiative was an opportunity to develop not only organizational and leadership skills, but also a deeper understanding of collaboration, entrepreneurship, and the impact that student-led communities can create.

I am also particularly grateful to Paraskevi Kosti, who supported me from the very beginning of my journey with Hult Prize UoWM, consistently encouraging me to take initiative, grow, and challenge myself.

"Pigi" — 4th Honorary Mention in the 36th Panhellenic Jewelry Design Competition

Another distinction was connected to the concept "Nereids — The Women of Today", developed for the 36th Panhellenic Jewelry Design Competition.

Under the guidance and mentorship of Professor Panagiotis Kyratsis, we explored how contemporary jewelry could combine the fluidity of water, the female body, and references to Ancient Greek mythology.

Our jewelry piece "Pigi" (Πηγή — "Source") was awarded the 4th Honorary Mention.

The piece was conceived as more than an aesthetic object. Inspired by water droplets and their continuous movement, "Pigi" focuses on the neck as a symbolic point of expression, communication, and inner strength.

Through the figure of the Nereids, the concept connects mythology with the contemporary woman — dynamic, refined, expressive, and constantly evolving.

Recognition of Contribution

The third honor recognized my broader contribution and involvement within the university community, including my work with the student team ASPiRE UoWM.

Being recognized by a community that I have actively contributed to makes this distinction especially meaningful to me.

More Than Awards

These three honors mark an important moment in my academic and creative path, but the most valuable part of this journey remains the people, experiences, and collaborations behind them.

I am sincerely grateful to Elpida Samara, Panagiotis Kyratsis, Paraskevi Kosti, ASPiRE UoWM, and everyone who supported these projects and trusted me throughout their development.

These distinctions serve not only as recognition of what has already been achieved, but also as motivation to continue designing, creating, collaborating, and pursuing more ambitious ideas.
